Many of the wounded from the Battle of Elkhorn Tavern/Pea Ridge were scattered far and wide. I have found 4 mens names from the 4th Missouri Infantry that were sent to Pine Bluff for treatment of their wounds from that Battle and died in Pine Bluff and were presumedly buried there. I have not done extensive research into the muster rolls of Missouri Confederate Units, But it may be possible that more were sent there than just those 4.
