Un-Marked Confederate Graves in NW Arkansas

My ancestor, 1lt M.D. Burgher, Co A, 1st Missouri Cavalry (MSG) died of wounds received at Elk Horn Tavern, Arkansas. Legend has it that he was buried somewhere in northwest Arkansas. My dad didn't know. My grandfather did know. I was wondering, I know a lot of folks have done a lot of work to uncover / discover a lot of graves. How would I go about finding my grgrUncle's remains? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
