In Response To: John W. Harris ()

John W. Harris enlisted in Co. D, 26th Arkansas Infantry, at Centreville, Arkansas, on May 12, 1862, for three years or the war. He took the oath of allegiance to the United States at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, on December 14, 1863. The descriptive roll states that he was a farmer, age 22, born in North Carolina, eyes blue, hair brown, complexion fair, height 5'10", residence Whiteville Township, Jefferson County, Arkansas.

I don't have any details on Indiana soldiers, so if you can make the connection between this man and the man in the 1st Indiana Cavalry, would you kindly post it here? Thanks.
