Bruce, Charles Young (son of Christian Young) died in a hospital at Little Rock on January 17, 1863. Cause of death not stated. He enlisted in Co. I, 27th Arkansas Infantry, at Richwoods, Arkansas, on July 6, 1862. He and his family are listed in the 1850 census of Izard County, Arkansas.

I've never been able to learn anything about Lieut. Col. Charles L. Young, apart from what is stated in his very abbreviated service record.
