I do know that many if not most of those men were from Saline and Jefferson Co under Capt Enoch Vance of Saline Co. THere are some accounts of their activities in that area from OR's and oral traditions of Confederate families regarding some their less than soldierly treatment of some of the womenfolk in the Benton area. I don't have much more than that except that I have identified a number of Saline Co men in that unit. I have no info on the type pension you mention.
