I am not sure how many CPT's they had but when the 11th and 17th were consolidated into one regiment, the 11th made up companies A-G while 17th were H, I and K. They may have had to attach their excess CPT's if any to other units. Apparently the 11th retained all of their remaining CPT's to command their 7 companies.
