To my knowledge,no soldiers of the 9th Battalion Tennessee Cavalry were captured with the garrison.Wm H Lipscomb of Co.G says his unit was picketing on the Old Plank Road when Banks advanced on the place.The Battalion's main camp was Olive Branch and at times Clinton.
