Oh yes, Bryant definately has a link to the road as it passes just to the east. As I said, the Battle of Hurricane Creek was right along the road to where the small road headed to Benton. I just wish I could tie down where it hit Hsy 5. THere is a very prominent old roadbed that comes right through my families old farm on the south side of I 30 and then it is picked up again on the north side and goes right to the Collegeville cemetery there beside the Baptist Church. But I have seen accounts where folks stopped at the Kirkpatrick/Judge Medlock place as a stage stop on the "Camden Trail". but I think it came out more at Collegeville. After all, Collegeville was started with hopes of being the town of the Ark University as well as a possible capital for the state. Only makes sense to cut a road south to Camden. THe settlers cut a road in 1823 from there to the old Kentucky settlement on HWY 5. In many places thought it is gone, in some it is still pristine and others it is utilized in current blacktop or gravel roads. It is neat to walk it out in the woods and see such a prominent roadbed.
