Re: Capture of Yankee Recruiting Officers

Hello,

According to the authoritative book "Tennesseans in the Civil War," there is no Col. Wm. P. Kendrick or Kindrick connected to the 2nd Tennessee Mounted Infantry. The officers of that regiment are: John Murphy, Col.), Owen Haney (LTC) and James Dickerson (maj.). This comes from Volume One which contains the unit histories of all units, Confederate and Federal, raised in Tennessee.

Volume 2 is the rosters thee is no Wm. P. Kindrick listed at all nor Kendrick.

So who is this guy???????
