Mr. Carter. I have worked extensively with the rosters I have found for the 14th Alabama Infantry Regiment. I have merged rolls from the ADAH, National Archives, newspapers, Hurst's book (not everyone is so fortunate to have such a resource), and other miscellaneous rosters. If you are agreeable, I would very much like to talk with you about approaches and methods for making decisions about this issue. I have wrestled with the same issues for the 14th Alabama rosters for several years. Another person who might be a good resource to provide you his thoughts is Alfred C.
