Alan J. PittsEnlistment datesMon Mar 5 23:45:58 2001 There are actually four Floyds in this company:C. J. Floyd, enlisted Sept 5, 1862Evan M. Floyd, enlisted July 29, 1861Jethro Floyd, enlisted Sept. 5, 1862T. G. Floyd, enlisted July 29, 1861.I'd guess the two men in the picture are Evan M. and T. G. Floyd. Evan was captured at Resaca GA May 16, 1864; last record shows him being forwarded from Camp Morton IN to Baltimore MD for exchange, Feb. 26, 1865. T. G. Floyd was wounded at Shiloh TN Apr. 6, 1862. Regimental records show that he was wounded slightly in the head about 9:30 A.M.He was discharged due to wounds on Aug. 20, 1862, but apparently reenlisted a few months later. I have a physical description of the man if you're interested.C. J. Floyd was wounded at Resaca on May 15, 1864, and captured. He lost the lower third of his right leg due to a gunshot wound and died in a Federal hospital at Chattanooga on Aug. 16, 1864. Jethro Floyd ws wounded at Chickamauga Ga and died of wounds on Sept. 29, 1863. His widow, Martha C. Floyd, filed a death claim, and there is also a physical description of this man.I hope this helps! Enlistment dates Pauline Mitchell Pierce, Tue Mar 6 01:03 It's possible.... Alan J.
