Alan J. Pitts, a research question
Tue Mar 6 17:58:33 2001

Alan, Thank you so much for all the information you hve posted on this site. I did know that C. J. Floyd had reenlisted but not the date. I knew nothing about C.J. Floyd's service nor his death date. All I really knew was that his brother came home with the information that he had died in the war. There has been several different battles that have been attributed to his death, but as it turns out they were all wrong.

I don't suppose there was a description of Evan M. Floyd, was there?

Also thanks for the information on Jethro. I do have him in my data base, and that he was from Pike Co, that he died in the war, even who his father was and that there was a family connection, but just how is still unknown.

Now the hard question, is there any way I can get copies of all these records. I am willing to pay for a research fee, copy costs, and postage if it would be possible. They may have these records at the Archive branch in Fort Worth, but it is a six hour round trip for me and I can no longer drive it, so now I must rely on others to do the research for me.

Again thanks for all your help.
