It's possible....

My information came from NARA microfilm available to patrons in the Southern Department, Birmingham Public Library. It's possible that the microfilm process didn't get images of everything in Evan M. Floyd's file jacket, so it's worth asking. Almost anytime I've seen a man released for exchange at the end of February of 1865, there's no other information. Actual date and place of exchange is usually shown in small print at the bottom of prisoner of war cards. For some reason, there's a gap in the recording process. It's also possible that he died in transit to City Point VA by way of Baltimore, or died after his release to Confederate authorities in Virginia.

You might as well ask. Did you know about four Floyd men in this unit? You didn't ask, but I'd guess that Jethro was wounded during Clayton's attack on the afternoon of Sept. 19, 1863. Also, did you have other information about when T.G. reenlisted?
