I do not have the book handy; however, in a THE HISTORY OF JACKSON COUNTY, ALABAMA by John R. Kennamer, Sr., there is a reference to recruitment of Jackson County men by a Kentucky Cavalry regiment which was stationed in the area. (I believe it was the 7th KY; however, I am not sure of this).

Does anyone have immediate access to this book or information regarding the recruitment of men in Jackson County by a Kentucky cavalry regiment?
