I looked at the chapter on the Civil War in Kennamers Jackson Co History and could find ne reference to any KY Cav recruiting in Jackson Co. Capt Rufus Jordan did organized the 1st AL Viadet Cav., a Union Co in Hog Jaw Valley across the Tennessee River from Bridgeport. They were enlisted for one year. Several companies were raised in Jackson Co. and W. H. Dicus company went to the 4th TN.
