Thanks for the suggestion. What I have done without a specific find, was I went through the rosters found in the Hist. of the 9th by Beale. That roster gives an overview of the members service cards. I only found 1 soldier wounded along with my Malone that was killed. The fellow that was wounded was paroled in 1865 so I know he didn't die that day.

When you say search the Combined Service Records for the company I guess I don't know where to go to do that. I'm a member of Ancestry but am having trouble hooking up with Fold3. So given that, which direction would you suggest I go?? Thanks
