Thanks for the post on your ancesor;Pvt Job Hart of the VA 39th Cavalry,C Company as first enlisted with 5th VA Calv.Co H in 1862 but was discharged due to overage,but he enlisted with the 39th soon after. He was obviously a patriot of the Southern cause,as he could have sat the war out due, to his overage,but re enlisted. I noticed he was born in Augusta County, which is where my ancestor; Captain Samuel Bradford Brown of the 39th VA Co C also hailed from,but later moved to Fort Valley,Georgia after the war and was buried there. In your records,is there any recollections or memories that your ancestor;Pvt Hart left regarding the 39th?
