Thank you for your reply.I have the atlas and checked it out.My gr-gr-grandad may have called this Harrison's Landing by mistake and could have been another landing.Later in the diary on January 2,65 he wrote:We took up line of march,marching about 4 milesto Harrison's Landing crossing over the James river on the pontoon bridge marching some six or seven miles and went into camp at Deep Bottom.
