Thanks, Mike, I will. T.H. Clay did enlist in the Ellis County Blues, 4th Texas Dragoons, before they entered Confederate service as Company H, 12th Texas Cavalry. Appreciate your help. Yeah, that whole Mabry connection is rather interesting. No clue what happened to his parents and how he happened to know the Mabrys (who I don't believe were from Tennessee, as he was), and why he was living with them in 1860. He was presumably close to the family because he served in the same company with three of them.
