Re: 12th Texas Cavalry muster rollls

I left out another brother, Robert Mabry, who served in both Company H, 12th Texas Cavalry, and Company C, 19th Texas Cavalry.

At any rate, T.H. Clay was living with this family for some reason and he enlisted with these five brothers.

Family lore has that he was wounded during the war, but I've never been able to locate a casualty list with his name on it from any of the 12th's engagements. T.H. Clay died in December 1888 when he, per family story, fell off his horse and froze to death in a blizzard. Again, per family story, the reason he had trouble remounting was because of his war wounds. I'd love to find the truth of that somehow, or at least know if he was indeed wounded or not.
