Thanks for your response. Yes, I have an ancestor who was in Company E, 7th Texas Infantry and was listed as "Died Quitman Hospital, Cause Unknown" by the National Archives." I believe however he is listed on the cemetery rolls under a misspelling of the name and also incorrect unit. I would like to correct this. I am also seeking info on Griffins Battalion 21st TX Inf. My ancestors step-brother was in this unit. Amazingly, their father was in the 35th TX Cavalry and younger brother in Borders Cavalry Battalion.
Any contact information would be helpful.
