From compiled records of the 24 Tex Cav, Bugler, Fredinand Zelder was 17 years old when he enlist for 3 years or the war.Enlisted at Yorktown,Tx. He was captured at Arkansas Post, Ar. Jan 11, 1863, imprisoned at Camp Butler, Springfield, Il. exchange date and place not stated. He was transferred from Co. K to regimental band March 12,1864 by order Genl. Granberry. He was paroled April 26, 1865 at Greensboro,N.C.(this was where the Generals meet and signed the paroles he could well have been at Durham Station).
