I was wondering if anyone could tell me why this man, who is a 4th G.Uncle, was on a Roll of Political Prisoners. It seems he was picked up by the Provost Marshall, in June of '64 and sent North of the Ohio River? I don't believe he was a soldier, as he was born in 1810.
In 1860 he resided in Jefferson Co Tn.
