I suspect that John Cox never reached his command in the field as his name apparently was never
recorded on Company B's July & August, 1863 or subsequent muster rolls.

Had he been recorded on the rolls, his capture should have been noted on the July/Aug, 63' roll and
thereafter as, Absent, captured/POW, etc.
