So there were three raids in or near to Jones County-

Grierson's Raid, April-May 1863
Raid on Brookhaven with skirmish near Ellisville, June 1863
Raid in December 1864

None of the Yankee raiders reported "Unionists," having contact with them or receiving any aid from them.
