* This battalion, composed of Companies, A, B, and C, was transferred to the 14th Regiment Confederate Cavalry upon the organization of that regiment September 14, 1863, and became Companies A, B, and C respectively of that organization

There exists but one Muster Roll for Company A**, 14th Regiment Confederate Cavalry, that for the period Aug. 31, 1863 to June 30, 1864, dated June 30, 1864 where they were then stationed at Columbus, Miss., there are no records of E. Reeves therein which would indicate that he had not yet returned
