Thank you so much for this information! Are the undertaker's records available online anywhere? I would love to look thru them as it is very possible that his name was horribly mispelled. Is there information with these records that show death dates or regiments or any additional information? I have used that information on a couple occassions to make an identification that I feel is reasonable. It is interesting what you said about him being a POW as well. Will look into that too.
