Kerry: If he died in Nashville in November, 1862 it was as a POW. He would have been buried in Nashville's Old City Cemetery originally. The Confederate Dead from there were moved in 1869 to a Mass Grave called Confederate Circle, in Nashville's Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

I did not see your ancestor's name listed among the undertaker's records although there were many who were listed only as "Unknown". Hope this might help in some way. There are many photos on the web of the Confederate Burial Section at Mt. Olivet and it's beautiful statue that stands above it. In the event that he may be somewhere else, I will continue to review my records for any other listing. Sincerely, Tim Burgess
