Speaking of Pvt. Richard Pittman, I was amazed at how many Pittmans were in this regiment--seven in all? and that was just the ones pictured--and four of them were apparently either brothers or at least close relatives. I was also interested to note that Richard is thought to have been buried in an unmarked grave at Marietta. That is quite some distance from Chickamauga where he was wounded. Was he taken to hospital at Marietta, or is there some other factor that places him there?
