It was indeed a very moving experience. These men were members of the 7th Mississippi Infantry. After researching their regiment for over 10 years, I consider them my friends and "connections". Richard pittman was one of the most prolific letter writer's of the 7th Miss. He is the ancestor of George Purvis, a frequent contributor of this board, and a good friend as well.
