North Georgia/Chattanooga visit

I just returned from a trip to Chickamauga (Sept. 1863), Missionary Ridge (Nov. 1863), Bridgeport, Alabama (Aug. 1863), Taylor'sd Store (near Bridgeport), Silverdale Cemetery near Tyners Station, TN (1862), and Potato Hill at Dalton, GA (May 1864) where the 7th was on picket near the Cleveland railroad overlooking Crow's Valley near Rocky Face, GA. Took alot of photos and videos, walked more than I have in months, and enjoyed every minute of the sunny sky, cool breeze, and peace. Sat along the Chickamauga Creek crossed the lafayette Road, through the Dyer Field, waded in Crawfish Springs near the tanyard, and climbed the tower at Lytle's Hill where the 7th routed the federals and captured artillery on Sept. 20th of 1863 in their first action of the day. Walked by the Bloody Pond. Hiked to the top of Snodgrass Hill (#3) in the path of the 7th Miss. on the afternoon of Sept. 20th 1863 where I said a brief prayer in remembrance of the men who died there, particularly Pvt. Richard B. Pittman, Co. F 7th Miss., Capt. J. M. Brister, Co. H 7th Miss., and Capt. Gustavus A. Robertson, Co. G 7th Miss. Overall a great weekend.
