18th Ms. Cavalry

The 18th Ms. Cavalry fought at Brice's Crossroads in June, 1864. After this battle, did the 18th go on to Tupelo? I am looking for a soldier who served in the 18th Ms. and in his military papers it states that he enlisted August 3, 1863 at Panola, Ms. He was on Roll of Prisoners and surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama, May 4, 1865 and was paroled at Gainville, Alabama on May 12, 1865. He enlisted as a Private and ranked out as a 3rd Sgt. He lived until 1905 in Gulfport, Ms.
His name was Reuben T. Hall. I would like to know if he was captured at Brice's Crossroads or
Tupelo. I do not know where he was after Brice's Crossroads and if he got the promotion there.
Thanks so very much for any help on this soldier.
