Mitchell, I have several newspaper articles and news items listing Iuka casualties, but to my knowledge, I have not seen the list from DeWoody/Daily Memphis Avalanche, but would absolutely love to locate a copy of that data. Thanks for the source tip! (Is there any chance you have/or know someone who might have that information relatively accessible?)

Primarily through the various commands' Compiled Service Records, Kenneth Byrd (a frequent contributor to this site and other state Civil War discussion sites) and I have been working to identify and confirm the identities of as many as possible of those buried at Iuka's Shady Grove cemetery. Of the stated 263 unidentified soldiers who are reportedly there, we're close to verifying right at half of that number currently.

If anyone has access to any additional sources, please post so we can continue the effort to identify as many of the men at Shady Grove as possible.
