Randy,

It is my opinion that your Richard Bridges served only in the 10th (1st) and 9th Miss. (2nd). In his records is a description of him giving his age as 19, being discharged and reenlisting for the war in the 9th Miss. I am sure this is your man. I cannot find a record of Mr. Bridges in the 9th Miss and that is gonna be the key to service. I also could not find a "R" Bridges list in the 1st Miss Lt Art. Not sure why he would have a 1st Miss. LT Art. headstone. I cannot find him, or or anyone listed in the 1st Art., 46 the Inf., or the 10th inf. in the Miss. Grave register. I also tried a lookup of "M" Bridges to see if he served in any of these mention units under that name. Do you know if he had any brothers in the 46th???
