Clearly the same family, matches on wife and kids. Reynolds County also fits for enlistment at Pilot Knob MO

The enlistment into the 2nd Colorado Cav lists age as 38yr, 10 months on Oct 15, 1863 which makes for an age match.

I've not found primary source material to support the date of death or death location for this individual.
there are several family trees on ancestry none of which is sourced with several different dates and locations including getting him confused with a gentleman from Georgia who died in
Collin Co Texas.

Can you point me to a source for his possible service in the 15th MO Cav?
