I think I made a mistake when I posted the J. A. Simpson off the Mo. State Archives. I now think John and his brother D.G were in Fristoe's Reg. Company G.

I also think I have found Valentine's land patent in Oregon County Mo. for 160 acres but on the patent they spelled his name as "Vountine Simpson"
