My g-g-g-grandfather who was the brother of William Pinkney Mitchell was Sherrill Lewis Mitchell. Sherrill was the brother who joined the Union Army, 32nd MO infantry, Company C and D.

Two of William Pinkney Mitchell's brothers were in the 8th MO infantry, Company C also - Spencer Halbert Mitchell and David Linn Mitchell. Both of them died during the war.
