William Pinkney Mitchell

William P. (Pinkney) Mitchell (1840-1908) and he's buried in the Richland Cemetery in Hill County, Texas. His grave marker states he was in Company C, 8th Regiment, Missouri Inf, CSA. Someone related to him is trying to find out if an old family story has any merit. The story goes that William Pinkney Mitchell rode with Quantrill. The folks that asked thought I'd know how to find out, but I don't. I thought I'd put this out here and see if any one of you might be able to find any information about him with the CSA and/or Quantrill. What I've put in this message is all I know.

Thanks.

Sally
