for Sept. and Oct., 1862, Absent on sick leave. Rolls from Nov., 1862, to Oct., 1863, state
Present. Roll for Nov. and Dec., 1863, Present. Removed from position of Capt. and retained as
2nd Lt., order of War Dept., dated Dec. 21, 1863, approving the finding of the Examining Board.
Roll for Jan. and Feb., 1864, Absent without leave since Feb. 18, 1864. Roster dated Jan., 1865,
Apptd. Capt., Feb., 1864. Reduced to 2nd Lt. on recommendation by order of Sec. of War. Dropped
subsequently for absence without leave. Position vacant.
