In scanning the roster I have compiled for the 2nd LA Cavalry, and for Co A, I do not find an Ovide Landry. With the less than complete records keeping of units in Louisiana, however, that is clearly not conclusive. I also did not find him on the roster of the Consolidated Cresent, although the tombstone Clay linked to is very specific. I did find an Ovide Landry in Co D of the 16th LA Infantry Battalion (Clack's). I will be intereted in hearing from you or his family relative to his service in the Snd LA Cavalry.
