I have been trying to find out some information about my Great GreatGrandfather - which is Upton Sheridan Crooks - his son Samuel Luther Crooks which is his my Great Grandfather and his son Robert was my Grandfather and my Father who passed away at 40 - so I did not get to get much info from the family. I have found Upton's civil war history and the fact he lived with a TL Bishop family via the 1860 census - but I cannot find out who either of his parents were to do any tracing back further that his 1860 record and his Civil War history - if you have any info - please let me know - finding out he joined the war before he could have age wise - shows he must have been a very interesting character!
