Upton Crooks, Co. H, 3rd Kentucky Inf., Mounted

I have an inscribed Colt Navy revolver with the name of UPTON CROOKS on the backstrap and 3rd KY CAV on the butt. Upton did indeed enlist, at the age of 14, in Murray, Kentucky on April 1, 1864, as Forrest brought the men back from the Paducah raid. Upton survived the War, since he is listed as living in Graves County through the 1920 census.
Anyone have any info on Upton S. Crooks?
