Yes, Bruce, I'm looking forward to reading firsthand about the trial; you were kind enough to send me a draft of your article some time ago. Did you ever correspond with a guy named Donald O. Knowlton? I found a very old (1999) genealogical posting by him soliciting information on Wood, who was his great-grandfather; at that time, Knowlton seemed to know little about his ancestor, but perhaps he's gathered some data in the meantime, or knows someone else in the family who might know more. I tracked him down to West Hollywood, CA, where he was living at the time of his original posting and appears to be living still. I was going to call him but thought I might check with you first, as I recall you saying you had corresponded with a descendant of Wood's without learning much. I'm determined to find a photo of the man, or at least get some inside scuttlebutt.
