Do you know who Cloud brought with him to Indian Territory? Cloud's report to McNeil says all the troops under McNeil (on loan to Blunt) moved toward Ft Smith plus Blunt's escort (which I assume was the 1st AR). The rest of Blunt's troops went west up the Canadian into the Creek Nation, back to Ft Gibson, and/or Cloud says some to Webbers Falls. I believe it is Cloud's report that mentions two mountain howitzers (in addition to the two sections of Rabb's Battery) which I assume were part of one of the cavalry regiments.

I'd suggest you post your questions on the Arkansas message board too where there are some real Devil's Backbone experts.
