That is definitely my relative you are talking about Archer Avary. He was a private in Cobb's Legion starting around 1864. I have some info that he was wounded. He lived until 1937 is we can grasp such a historical epoch. Can you imagine he lived through WWI and to the eve of WWII. When he was born there were no automobiles, airplanes, electric lights etc. He died as a MD in Atlanta as a very old man. I want to try and get in touch with any possible relatives in the here and now.
