The Flag of the New Orleans Battalion of Washington Artillery – very large and rich – one side scarlet silk, with the State seal, a pelican and young in nest, embroidered in white and grey silk, with branches of cotton and cane nearly surrounding, embroidered in green. The other side bright orange colored silk, embroidered with cross cannon and a ribbon surrounding, buckled underneath and marked “Washington Artillery;” “Try us.”
