Your point about the Miss flag at the TN State Museum is well taken but that is far different I think from mythology as posited by Wikipedia and others on that site who do not take the time to do the digging needed as you and your team did for that flag. That is serious historical work - not passing off myths and taking the time to challenge those myths or improper ID. There's ample sources now available that these myths need not ever be repeated and yet they remain and repeated. That was my whole point.

What I was hoping to find for the 44th Mississippi flag was the account that described the Polk Corps flag they used until they received their Second National and, unless I just missed it on the site you linked to, I did not see that posted there. This is the information that most interests me as I already knew about the Second National flag. This was a followup to your post that mentioned this account.
