I wanted to expand a bit on the previous posting I did. While I have stated that some Mississippi units made their own Second National flags starting in December 1863 and indeed used them in the Atlanta and Tennessee Campaigns of 1864, these units MIGHT have also obtained Augusta Depot flags. They also might have just used their Second Nationals and obtained Augusta Depot flags once these were lost.

Without looking at the order of battle, some of these MS units might also have been part of Polk's Army of Mississippi that came to north Georgia in May 1864 and thus might have carried Mobile Depot flags.

We know what we know on AOT flags of 1864 and there's still a lot we don't know and much of that is due to the lack of existing flags to study.
