It was like the flags in the Rev War film "The Patriot." They hired the Smithsonian - who after the Enola Gay debacle and this film I personally would not hire - and proceeded to get uniforms and flags all wrong. I liked the British regimental flags that were buff when the regiment it flew over had blue facings! Hey Smithsonian - the regimental flag color matched the facings color!!!!! And the Continental Army never fought under the Stars and Stripe which was primarily a naval flag in addition to political.

This stuff is not hard to do - most of these film makers just need to ask.
