I realize that the fol is off-topic for this forum, but it is germane to what you just posted. The May issue of "Smithsonian" magazine has a side-bar History Channel ad for the new Gettysburg movie, that depicts a Union infantryman "seeing the elephant" up close. Close enough to feature the crossed rifles insignia of a decade after the war, instead of the hunting horn. (Last time I saw that was in the Audie Muphy version of "Red Badge of Courage.") It's gonna take a lot of compensation to overcome the reaction to these sorts of glitches and make us want to see the movie.
